Hello all,
I need to create a pinhole in the firewall where my application is running. I want to do this within the program, since in most cases, the user would likely struggle to accomplish this. Can anyone provide any info as to how to do this?
Thank you,
Tim
Tim,
there is no general way to do this - some firewalls support UPnP (Universal Plug’n Play) which allows an application behind the firewall to open up firewall ports dynamically. But these are only for home/consumer use.
Of course, your user would at least have to enable this feature, which again requires manually configuring the firewall.
