How to parse Thunderbird mailboxes and put the content into a sqlite database

Hi, after a very long time Im back with XOJO but now on a brand new Linux Laptop ( with a ubuntu LInux ) from a Germany company in the south.

I want to read thunderbird mailfolders and parse the content into a sqlite database. I have a Python sample , but I know I can do this with XOJO . Thx for all the support.

The Thunderbird mailboxes are mbox files. A halfway decent email parser is just a couple of weeks of work. profiles.ini and prefs.json are pretty nasty, though.

Hello Beatrix, that was fast, thx. Im still enjoing your tool on my Mac. Its more about my private playground with XOJO on a Linux box ( back to my early roots ). Rainer
