how to create a serial number on a CD

Hi is there anyway to create a serial number on a cd or dvd when burning so I can lock my software to it ?
as far as I know it’s not possible because it’s created randomly and it’s umpredictable.

any ideas ?

PS I know that this copyprotection is very weak but still it would be good for my purpose

you could burn each CD/DVD manually and include a hidden file with serial number.
(if you burn on Mac, you can use our plugin to write yourself a little burn app)
