How to call a json based webservice?

I am trying to create a simple app for iOS and I have no clue how to create the call to a webservice.

Most of the time I manage to get it work if I see a simple example, so if somebody knows one?

Have you looked at the examples. Select “New project” from the file menu. Click on Examples and then choose Communication, Internet, Web Services.
