I want to use GraffitiSuite for my project.
I think it will be fantastic, however right now, I’m lost.
I started looking at the documentation via the documentation exe that is provided, but I’m not understanding.
Sorry for being dense, but what’s the best way to learn GraffitSuite?
I think the Grid will be a big part of what I’m wanting to learn and use, especially the column filtering (at least I think I understand what that is), and search for data in my database and displaying it.
I’m sure there are many parts of GraffitiSuite I will want to use.
I come from a phprunner background so that’s my mentality right now.
User will open a page, enter search criteria which will then load the grid, and the user will click on something to add/edit or view that row.

Review the example project for whichever target platform you’re working with and open tickets with specific questions about what you want to achieve, what you’ve tried, what you don’t understand, etc.

I will do that Anthony. My only concern is that there are probably a ton of things that I won’t know to ask, but in all fairness I need to get things installed and start trying to use it. I do think it will be a very valuable tool for me.
Just group your questions logically for tickets when you can’t find the answer in the documentation or example. The Grid example is quite extensive and shows most (if not all) of the functionality of the Grid, so I know it can seem a bit intimidating, but pretty much anything you might want to know is answered there. I am, however, always happy to explain or elaborate on things you don’t understand or when/if you just don’t know where to start.
For starting out, there are instructions for adding GraffitiSuite to your project in the documentation under Information
> Installation
, including a video walkthrough.
I had tried to look at the video but no sound (which may be right) but I couldn’t make the video big enough to see what it was trying to show. I’ll keep working on it
No, there’s no sound. It’s just a video showing the steps outlined above the video. If you right-click the video, depending upon which OS you’re using, you should see an “Enter Full Screen” contextual menu item.
I will give it a shot. Thanks
