How to add a control/s to the library

Using XoJo 2013r3.3. Can personal controls be added to the library list so I can choose to
use them anytime I want ?

I looked in docs but did not find any answer to this question.

Good question, Jerry. I’d not noticed before, but none of my custom controls are showing in the Library like they did in RS and earlier.

There are existing feedback feature requests:

This one says Implemented, but is then changed to reviewed…

No. Currently you have to drag them from the Navigator onto your layout.

Feature was pulled from a release - thats why

Well that really sucks… The more I learn about the new IDE the more I hate it…

The more I learn about the new IDE the more I love it. Today I learnt to use the filter in the navigator so I don’t need to sort my components. Till now I’ve been saving them in folders & sorting as necessary.

I think the biggest problem with the new IDE is being used to the old IDE and expecting the new one to be the same.

Luckily even though I’m getting long in the tooth, MS comes along with a new version of Office ever couple of years and totally screws me over, so I’m used to these changes and can adjust.

Gee now where would you have learned that from :stuck_out_tongue:

I wonder. I always follow your conversations Norman - you’re my hero!

Wayne, you are right really. I just started using RS a couple or so years ago and finally got used to it so
with learning curve done it all changes. Many people just don’t like change but I’m not one of them but
I’ll get used to it sooner or later. You expect the same functions in a new version plus new ones, that’s
what gets me kinda ticked.

Any thoughts on resurrecting this?

I find it annoying when I use the search box and it takes me away from the selected project item. Is there any way that I can workaround this? Thanks

Oliver - this really is whats known as “hijacking a thread” - or posting an unrelated issue in an existing thread.
Start a new one - you’re likely to get more responses that way

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.
Some already do in a yet to be released version - check the alphas.
But it’s not all of them as there are still some speed issues which is why we pulled it initially.

Sorry and thanks.
