Heads up - Sequoia and Gatekeeper

tl;dr no more right clicking to open apps that aren’t signed/notarized in the upcoming version of macOS. But it’s still possible to bypass.

Probably a good thing.

I have seen to many software sites that ask you to download something and use Control-Click Open to open it.

Really, if the software is good, there should be someone to do the code signing + notarization for it.

Yeah, in the end it’s easy enough thanks to Sam.

Agreed. I’d personally never use software that wasn’t signed and notarized, but I wanted to give a heads up to any Xojo devs with small apps who might not bother to sign them.

This doesn’t affect locally compiled apps, right?

Well, at least that beats something like “Enter your Social Security number.”
