you’re conducting kinda Traceroute? It takes very long time… more than 45 Seconds before I get this:
I am in the heart of Sydney Australia.
Pin picks Wollongong (85km away and 2 others further away in MSW) not Sydney.
These errors would have been while I was implementing pt 2.
I just tried it, and I get an empty listbox and no pins on the map - Oakland, CA - USA - comcast business.
Perhaps you’re implementing pt 3?

I don’t get a pin at all and nothing in the listbox.

Again I’d like to say thank you to all for your participation. This was just a bit of holiday play and the community helped a great deal by being world wide.
Just in case you missed it the source for Part 1 is available at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18858366/WebGEOIP.xojo_binary_project and really only gives you useful information as to where your user is located (Country wise), most everything else is marginal in its value.
