We now know the dead line for Xojo to give us 64 bit Architecture

That may be an issue for Xojo iOS. If I remember previous posting, it is 32 bits, is it not ?
If I infer correctly from other posts, the IOS framework will produce 64-bit executables for ARM with the LLVM compiler. The IOS development work was described several times as synergistic with the development of the 64-bit general XOJO compiler using LLVM.
It won’t for the initial version.

No, only iOS for now. Of course, the day is fast approaching when Apple will tell us that they’re only accepting 64-bit apps on the MAS (the last 32-bit Mac shipped, I think, late 2006). I’ll place a bet on WWDC 2015.
for IOS you need to be able to create 32/64 bit depending on device and version of iOS
iPhone4s running iOS7.1 or iOS8.1 is 32bit as is the iPad2 and it seems iPad Retina …
iPhone5s and 6/6+ are all 64bit
Once iOS support moves to ONLY running on 64 bit CPU’s then I could see Apple requiring only 64 bit code.
Thats not currently the case when you look at the list of devices that iOS supports.

Yeah, it’ll probably be iOS 10 before they’ll want 64-bit-only apps on the iOS App Store.

Yeah, from memory, Lion was the first version of OS X to ship with a 64-bit kernel - you could switch between it and 32-bit mode. Of course, I might just have ruined my super-well-informed status
