Failed to Locate Framework DLL - Windows 11

@Paul_Lefebvre. I’ve created the following case as requested:
<https://xojo.com/issue/68245>

I couldn’t change the Xojo version or the case type thought.

@MarkusR
I have run Xojo “Run As Administrator” but the same message appears
How do you run Xojo in “Compatability Mode”? (This is only for Windows apps running in the IDE)
I have deleted the whole output folder, but normally this is deleted automatically by the IDE when you stop running the app

Turn off use builds folder in the shared build settings and see if you still get the error.

open the folder c:\Program Files\Xojo\Xojo 2023r1.1\ or any folder your xojo version is located and find xojo.exe

  • Right click the file
    • properties
      • Tab Combatibility
      • Select previous Windows Versions to see if Xojo runs well.

I hope i have helped you.

Hi everyone,

I raised this issue a while ago and since then, I discovered that this only happens when compiling to Win32. If I compile to Win64, I do not get the error. Since then I only compile to Win64. I went through this with the Xojo guys via the Issue I raised so apologies that I didn’t update this thread.

Thanks again for your help.
