I plan to save the Tags set in my DesktopListBox, but I do not see (think) a way to save these informations in a Text file.
Of course, I can save verbose with BinaryStream in a custom file and keep the actual save text to .txt file (and forget the tags in this case).
What do you actually do or ypour advice if you never save the tags.
This may help others with tags (not only background colors, but all kind of information that can be associated to a Cell / Row).
Create a sample of one DesktopListbox with a simulation of your contents, just few lines, let people see your problem, instead of they assuming things.
The problem lies in a lack of ideas. But this is a starter. More ideas may come (after a night, usually or anytime, …).
Usually, a hint hit ideas and some comes.

If you can make a small sample, a super simple lisbox with like 4 lines preloaded with fake data and tags as you wish, I will give you my 2 cents about it, there are several tags in a listbox, tags can carry any kind of data, a more detailed problem, with a sample listbox with some of those “tags” preloaded would help to know more about your problem, and we will try to help you.

The afternoon hours talked to me and I had an idea, something like what I already do for the ListBox ColumnWidths, Location (x,y,Width, Height) saved in a line with a leading code like
Loc_Width, <column_widths_values> \Tab <Location_values>/End of Line
Write Time (Read from the ListBox / Write to disk):
A. Header String separated with \Tab + EndOfLine
B. Loc_Width, [column_widths_values] \Tab [Location_values] + EndofLine
C. Row_Tag_Integer + \Tab + Row_Type, [Row_Data] + EndOfLine
D. Row_Integer + \Tab + Columns contents Strings \tab separated
Repeat from C to D and so on until the end of the ListBox.
Read Time:
Same as above (read and set data)
Time to eat, will try to implement it later (in a two hands move) or tomorrow at the hospital (with the right hand only) ;).

Maybe you should rest all the parts, not only the left hand.
