anyone else had this happen? Stuck at 0 seconds remaining and never quite gets done?

What version of the IDE are you using?
If it’s < 2014r2 and you are using OS X, select the IDE in the Finder and select File->Get Info. Check the box that says “Prevent App Nap”.
2014r2 on Win 7
Hm. This is the first time I’ve heard anyone mention this problem while using r2. Well, I know exactly what’s going on, but I don’t know why it’s still happening. This typically means that the upload socket terminated prematurely.
Could be bandwidth on our end?
I’ll keep an eye open for anything that makes it repeatable.
