Hi,
I can’t use Xojo at all at the moment, as the debugger ports are blocked. Does anyone know how to unblock the firewall in Kaspersky? I have turned off the entire Kaspersky application and firewall, and disabled the firewall on my router temporarily, yet still Xojo refuses to start even a blank application.
I’ve tried opening up old apps that I created in earlier versions, and they are also borked. I’ve just updated to R2026r1.2, so it’s an out-of-the-box installation.
It is driving me crazy!
Jason
You did not tell which OS your are using, but since everything external to your computer has been turned off my guess is that your OS block these ports.
Sorry Windows11.
I’ve also been trying to connect to the local debugger desktop, and that doesn’t work on the same machine either. Nothing does. The whole of Xojo is just broken. I can’t open any of the example files and make them run locally. I’ve opened up all local TCP traffic on the LAN via the firewall, so nothing is being blocked.
running ‘netstat -ano | findstr 60554’ shows no open connections, nor on port 13897 (which is what xojo is telling me it’s listening to).
I also run Windows 11, but Xojo is not installed on this computer.
I had a look at my computer’s configuration. I must add I have a router with extensive configuration, an ASUS I trust more than anything Microsoft. I also run Eset Nod 32 for virus protection. I had a look at the Windows 11 firewall and discovered that «the Defender firewall was on !!! I turned it off.
I wonder if you also have Defender firewall on, that may explain your issues.
