web1 to web2 direct conversion will always have problems
better have a complete rewrite IMHO…

Web2 is too different than Web1 to do a good conversion.
The problem is not necessarily the move from Web 1 to Web 2.
The problem is that the compiler stops somewhere giving a non helpful error message.
I tried your sample code in Xojo2023r4 and I didn’t get an error opening or running. The error shows when Building?
