I have added a slider to my project, which in general does what i want/need it to do.
a small annoyance is this: if i click on the slider at some random point, the slider arrow moves to a point on the slider different than i am clicking with the mouse, The slider will slide nicely as i drag it up and down the scale but i cannot click one spot and have the slider move right there.
Am I missing something?

i think because page step.
Xojo 2025r2.1 DesktopSlider is buggy it does not set the slider to mouse position 
maybe try DesktopScrollbar (looks coarse und input is unprecise)
or subclassed canvas for your need.
In System Settings, there is this setting:
I don’t know whether it also applies to sliders, but the point is that it’s the OS which controls this behaviour.
The slider moves in steps and will move to the step nearest to the mouse position. You may have to use finer steps.
that does not work, but should be at step 1 (page size)
