I asked “how do I call a rest api in xojo?”
this was the answer:
Then I changed the question to “how to securely call a rest api in xojo” and the answer was:
Interesting way to help new users maybe.

!!sorry i didn’t see your post before i made mine, i posted why xojo is great elswhere couple days ago…wouldn’t have ppsted otherwise, but yes interresting
I’m not sure if you’re being serious. The first example some HTTPSocket code from ages ago, which is going to struggle with modern services. The second example isn’t even Xojo.
Bad code from ChatGPT seems to be a thing, as well as extensive fakes. I’m not sure how well AI is going to be able to model Xojo code, there isn’t a lot of open source stuff out there. A lot of what is available is outdated. Someone would need to train it well.
That’s why I said ‘a little bit of Xojo’
And yes the second example shows it’s absolutely not ready yet.
Also the reason why I posted in off-topic.
That being said, I do see the potential.
Maybe I should have been more clear at the end and have said ‘Interesting way to help new users in the future maybe’
I might call it “doesn’t know enough about Xojo”. I’m not trying to be negative here, I would just want new folks to get off to a good start.
That said, I am one of the types of people that muggles are attempting to replace with AI. I don’t have many good things to say. Those interested in more can contact me privately to hear what I really want to say about the matter. I’ll leave it at that.
The only thing I’m certain of is that ChatGPT knows that Xojo is a basic dialect.
