Building for Distribution Error

Attempting to build for distribution. Get this message:

The operation couldn’t be completed. BD88E34AE810BEFDB5DAC0960F0EE46E18AA2CE5: no identity found

Anyone have any idea what this means? The solution?

ok, thanks problem solved. There were invalid certificates in my keychain that were missing private keys (I had overlooked them, they were not visible under “my certificates”). My newly created certificates and profiles were only recognized after I removed them. created app-id from developer site, bundle identifier and App name must match. thank you Musti

That was it.

I found an expired certificate in Keychain, removed it, and compiled successfully.

The error message could be more helpful.

The error message could be more helpful.

You’d have to talk to Apple about that. The error message you saw was directly from the codesign app.
