I add an external 15" monitor (screen) to build a User Interface, and:
a. double click in the Title Bar,
b. click in the green dot…
Result:
The window is enlarged (desired effect) BUT IN THE MAIN SCREEN (not where it was for more than 80%…
And I do not talk about grey interface that I have troubles reading (with my glasses). That was the reason why I moved the IDE in Window Design mode to the external screen.
I usually work with a single screen (I’ve known people who never would do with less then 3 screens but I’m not like that) and I wouldn’t place any important window partly on one screen and partly on another, but could it be that macOS interprets the wish to enlarge the window to move it to the largest screen and maximize it there? Just a thought …
Any hints to work with 2 monitors?
I connected an external monitor to my Macbook, if I put a window partly on each monitor I only see one part and not the other.
Safari and Xojo show only the 20% on the Macbook, Firefox show the % shown on the external screen.
Is that similar of what you see @Emile_Schwarz ? or you can see the window in both monitors?
Safari and Xojo maximized to the Macbook, Firefox maximized to the external (bigger) monitor.
