Beep when accessing to a MenuItem

As I already wrote in another conversation, I get Beep “Here, There, and Everywhere” (The Beatles, Rubber Soul).

I checked with an Apple application and does not get a beep when I call a non existant MenuItem shortcut.

PS: on OS X, beep in the IDE are very common, unlike on Windows 8.1.

Well, the framework will beep if a menu item has no handler for it returning true.

So all Items in the Edit Menu have to have a Menu Handler ?

Strange.

Since I work nearly always with the sound off, I nearly never heard these beeps
