I know - this is about as basic as it gets - but it still bites me in the can, and I’m sure it has bitten y’all.
Real easy (and efficient) to copy existing objects (text fields with your text preferences set, list boxes with the alternate shading, etc.) - BUT - remember that there MAY BE CODE associated with those components! (I(‘ve been doing this for 20+ years - STILL bites me in the rump - spend days trying to figure out why a piece of code that “I know works” - but it doesn’t - and (after a couple of days on the forums - no resolution found - creating “test apps” that work FINE - and the code is IDENTICAL - WTF!!!
Oops - a bit of code attached to the component that you copied is the culprit. I don’t think that I’m alone on this (or, if I am, I’ll set up and “FundMeNow” page and would appreciate any donations!)
Just a not to remind, inform, etc. - If you copy components, CHECK EXISTING CODE!
