Sounds great, count me in for testing.
You need this?
IDECommunicatorV2.xojo_binary_project.zip (9.0 KB)
Awesome! Count me in
We’re good! @AlbertoD that really helped.
OK. I’ll write up some basic usage docs, notarise the apps and then get this beta out. It may not be until tomorrow (UK) just because I’ve got a few hours of errands to run first. If I can get it done sooner I’ll ship it tonight.
Awesome. I’d say OpenRouter is the way to go, because of the multitude of llm’s available to play with without changing anything else. I don’t see it in your screenshots, but if an openrouter key is provided, can we select the llm?
Yes. You can select the model from OpenRouter in the preferences if you have an API key. I’ve been using Kimi K2.
Awesome. Haven’t played with Kimi, yet… just gpt-5.2 codex and grok. Anyways, great tool.
I hope I can still join the testers, I am the biggest idiot of them all.
I bult an applicartion last year to analyse .xojo_project code and suggest areas for improvement . It is available on Github for those interested. https://github.com/supcumps/CodeCleaner I am keen to try your project Garry.
Regards,
Phil
Please count me in, too.
I use Ollama with a modified qwen2.5-coder:14b and ChatGPT (Pro) on a daily basis.
OS: Linux and Windows
Thank you, Jean-Yves, for all your contributions on the subject of AI! If you could ever make a short video or tutorial to show how Xojo can work with Claude Code, that would be great!
Wow!!! What an extraordinary project and work! And it’s so so reassuring to see that Xojo can finally be integrated into these new workflows. I hope the Xojo team will provide you with all the help and communication you need. And, of course, any new IDE or script features that might help you.
For my part, I’m still using Xojo 2019R3 (web framework 1) with a (large) binary project (but I can actually convert it to another format). So I don’t know if it will be compatible. If so, I can participate in testing as well. But I can also use the latest version of Xojo for simple tests.
OK,
The first beta (0.9.1) is out. I’ve messaged the first 15 people.
Please be honest but fair in your feedback and make sure to read the README!
If there is a second wave, I would also like to participate.
I’d love to test it, please.
Awesome… Count me in too please !!!
I can leave the beta testing to others, but I have definitely been wanting something like this.
I dabble with local LLM and agentic coders a bit, but since Xojo can’t compile from CLI it’s pretty much DOA when using other open source projects like Roocoder or Aider (I haven’t tried Xojo IDE Communicator stuff because I am lazy)
Hoping to see Zotto succeed! This would definitely be a game changer.
Yes, please count me in!
I’ve also been using my Google Gemini Pro and GitHub Copilot licenses, but I’ll +1 the same comments as others have said here … copying and paste is painful at times.
I’m willing to test as well. Thanks
