A bit of humor for your Tuesday....

Probably my favorite part:

Lol, still cleaning coffee off the windshield.

The last paragraph is pure gold.

standards are unicorns :stuck_out_tongue:

Now the question is “Is your name Richard?” ?

I’ve always liked this one

“The only reason coders’ Computers work better than non-coders’ Computers is coders know computers are schizophrenic little children with auto-immune diseases and we don’t beat them when they’re bad.”

Norman,
yes - my name is Richard?

You do realize that the short form of Richard is often “Dick” :stuck_out_tongue:

But then I used to work with a fellow whose name was Harold Cox
He never understood the humor in his name

Did he go by “Harry”?

He did :stuck_out_tongue:
Most folks couldn’t talk to him with a straight face

It isn’t Tuesday anymore but still, found this on php.net! Mohoho!

That is one of my favorites.

He should just be glad he wasn’t named Isaac. (Or worse, Isaac Coxwell).

the important question is… Did he bag his limit? or did the rifle blow up because the barrel was full of water?

When creating a list of potential names for our children we had to vet them very well due to our surname. We hooted with laughter with ‘Ophelia Cox’! I have a huge list of others.

‘Isaac Cox’ would have been worse

Yes we dodged a bullet on that one — neither my wife nor I noticed, and Isaac was high on our list! In all other ways it has been a fine surname.

That is absolutely awesome. Like a snippet of Martin Amis’ ‘Money’ from the pov of a programmer.

The following link was in the wonderful b3ta newsletter last week. How someone with the surname ‘Null’ is driving database managers crazy.

Mister Null

If you’re an anarchist and want to slip off the radar, changing your surname to Null might not be a bad idea…
