Today marks the 35th anniversary of Linux, celebrating the historic August 25, 1991 announcement made by 21-year-old student Linus Torvalds. Linus Torvalds, a Finnish graduate student, posted on the Usenet group
comp.os.minix stating he was working on a free operating system for 386/486 AT clones as a “hobby” that “won’t be big and professional like gnu.”
Thanks Linus, for giving us far more choices. The kernel started with around 10,000 lines of code and has expanded to roughly 40 million lines today.

With Valentina Release 18, Paradigma Software’s own database management system ValentinaDB gained a built-in text retrieval feature that lets you run Elasticsearch-grade lexical searches directly inside standard SQL queries.
You generate a Full-Text Search index using one or more String, VarChar, or Text fields, then search it and return matching record IDs and BM25 relevance scores. Use the new MATCH predicate when a full-text condition is needed in a regular WHERE clause.
