I will be updating the OS and trying to put Xojo on it. We’ll see how it goes. But for my target app, an iOS and/or iPAD, Beatrix says this machine won’t work since it is not the latest.

From what I see, Apple is always pushing developers to use latest OS and latest Xcode.
If you have any budget at all, the base model M4 Mac Mini is hands down the best deal in computing today. It’s $599 but you can catch it on sale for $499 or also $499 from the Apple Education Store (Apple does not verify your education status, *cough*).
You’ll need your own keyboard, mouse and monitor but it’s a heck of a computer for the price, and you’ll be able to develop for iOS on it in Xojo.
If you’re in the US and have any interest whatsoever, I would jump on it soon before the newly announced tariffs raise the price.
