Emile: yes, the Finder has been told about ownership.
Following Sam’s suggestion above, I replaced Xojo’s icon with Icone Compeser’s icons, in all their variety.
Now on the Desktop the doc item shows all right, but putting the file in a folder, its icon becomes generic in list-view. The exact opposite of what I experienced a few hours ago.
