MySQLPreparedStatement

The Unarchiver is available for free in the Mac App Store

Hi Sascha,
I’m seeing the same thing as Peter. This is what I see in Konsole.

@Peter Fargo @Maximilian Tyrtania

I’ve uploaded zipped builds to my Website. You can download it from here: MAC + WIN

Thanks, it launches now. I’m testing with PostgreSQL and there seems to be a problem. Created the server, say “new” (that’s how it’s supposed to work, right?), then go to the 1st tab, select the server, hit “verbinden” (would be great if that provided some feedback a la “successfully connected”. But the connect worked, I saw the new connection in PGAdmin)- but the “Datenbank”-Popup is still empty. Not sure why there even is a Datenbank-popup as I gave the database name in the settings dialog already.

Thank you for testing it @Maximilian Tyrtania

Yes

It should be labeled connect, because i compiled it as @Norman Palardy explained it, for the multilanguage part. Hmm…

Good idea!

This is just a Name for the Databases Popup Menu.

I am currently pulling the available Databases from the connected Server, as i do it in mySQL, with “SHOW DATABASES”. Maybe i need to do it different for PostgreSQL.

I will have to dig the Xojo Manual tnoight (GMT+2 here) and will then implement your suggestions.

Thank you.

Ah, okay. “select datname from pg_database” is what you need to issue against PG.

The app launches now. I have set up an ODBC connection but like Maximillian I get no feedback on a connect. The connection is successful but no tables are populated. I use the standard Database.TableSchema method to get them.

On the SQLite “Manage Hosts” I see no way to select a DatabaseFile?

There are also an issue with the Manage Hosts and Field Type Preferences tabs. If you change your Server Type on the Manage Hosts tab and switch to the Field Type Preferences tab the correct database is selected in the segmented control but the listbox entries do not update until you click on the segmented control again.

Looking good Sascha!

Small translation issue.
The menu’s are still German while the rest is English (Ablage, Bearbeiten).

Implemented.

Fixed.

Translated.

Added connection status indicator (text, red or green colored).

That’s all for today. Sorry but i had no time to change, implement or fix everything you reported. But please continue to give feedback. I highly appreciate it and will try to implement them all (as long as they make sense  ).

Please re-download to test the latests changes.

Thank you.

Connection (green) works great for ODBC. Not much else I can test until I get the tables/fields.

Looking forward to next version.

Now I get a NOE upon connect.

I will look into it and the other issues, this weekend.

Please be patient

I’ve uploaded a slightly updated version. I am still very limited in my spare time. So i could not make every change i have on my ToDo list. Plus, i can only test my App with mySQL Databases.

The version number has been set back to 1.1.x and will stay in 1.1.x until i am sure, it works with the majority of databases.

The following changed were made for 1.1.1:

Please try it again with the current version.

Now, there is. Please give it a new try.
plus few minor bugfixes

Always or only if you do “this” and then “that”?

ODBC Tables/Fields confirmed working.
I Still don’t see where to select a database file for sqlite?
I’m busy trying to get a house ready to sell but will try and squeeze in some testing later today.

Just click on connect

Very nice. This is looking very good. Thanks for your efforts!

To quote my idol… “DOH!”

Beg your pardon? I mean when I press the connect button. Always. Probably Postgres specific. Feel free to mail the source code to maximilian.tyrtania@contactking.de and I’ll fix it.
