eCommerce

Hi Tim

An eCommerce that not accept any kind of payment , from my side is a simple website, so XOJO WEB is fine for this purpose.
Now a simple website become an eCommerce when you can make some money transaction, because you are selling something like a service , product or digital goods.

Now if the first 2 things are easy as you said, why the third is complicated?
Now your personal opinion is not use Xojo for this purpose, it is possible to know why?

Xojo applications can be difficult to deploy and don’t always run on shared hosting. You’d have some real support headaches selling a Xojo-based eCommerce solution similar to OpenCart. But if you only need to support your own site, no problem.

I think you misunderstood. I was separating out a simple payment transaction from a more full-featured shopping cart. You can to one without fully implementing the other.

If I was to sell a Xojo based ready to use shopping cart solution, I would probably do that as a subscription, hosted on my own site, so I can keep control of engineering.

That said, I never ventured into it, because competition is extremely fierce, so I better have a remarkable product to hope for significant sales.
