Norman has said this before, even in the last thread that discussed that topic. He’s also said that it was considered a low priority. Neither are a new position from him. (Not to speak for Norman, but that’s what I got from his postings over the years.)
Sounds like a good summary. It’s also the case with having extension methods on literals, just that if everyone started using the ‘shorthand’ syntax, as you called it, it can’t ever really happen.
