I have no doubt that your plugin will be way faster. But yet, I find it could be profitable for anybody interested in UUEncoding to actually see the code in action, and to better grasp the process.
the BSD source from apple wrapped in a sample plugin would be useful
wouldn’t ay the author anything but would generate some good will
