It is close to a year now and my Comodo codesign cert is expiring Nov-19, 2016. Although I recvd a email reminder from KSoftware, I waited until today to order new cert (they don’t do renewal) and I just recvd email to collect the new cert (quite fast - 8 hours).

Since this is my first time “crossing over” from the expiry of old cert to new cert, I think I better ask some questions and hopefully tap the knowledge of those who have been there before.

The questions are:

What happen to those exe/installer I codesigned with the old cert when it expires Nov-19, 2016?
Will there be problem?
Is it necessary to codesign them again with the new cert?

All the executables you have signed before remain protected.

I supposed there won’t be any frightening message that the codesign cert is invalid or expired? Nothing that will cause alarm?

I have executables signed years ago, they do not show frightening messages.
