You mean somewhere remote to your computer? If your app communicates with it by mounting the remote Surface Pro’s disk, they advise against that. See section 2 in:

This may not be a problem on your use case, but perhaps just to be aware.

Theres a dozen or so remote sales guys, they do a syncronisation every night which is a two way sync via a sync function in the app. Cheers - Steve
