Eugene I don’t believe, in this particular case, that a thread is the way to go. The entire intent of this program is to show the bars move as the corresponding values are moved via the sort algorithm. So, the speed up in this case is in getting the graphics to perform as fast as possible. Of course, if I want real graphics speed I just need to run it on a windows machine. At one time I had put code in the program to slow things down for running on windows as it all happened so fast you couldn’t appreciate the logic going on within the sort algorithm. Since I quit doing any personal apps in windows I removed that code from this program.
Richard, I have to admit, I had not thought of developing on a high speed train. Of course, the US does not have the high speed trains like you find in some other countries. Enjoy the Camomile and Honey.
