That is the situation today for most third party controls indeed in the Xojo world. The extremely small market IMHO does not permit anything else at the kind of prices people seem ready to pay.

Over half of MBS Plugin classes are written because a client paid for them.
So for a specific plugin feature someone may have paid $2000 for development in addition to buying a license for themselves and agreeing to include the item in the collection. That cuts price by half as I fund other half by license sales.
