What I normally do is to close all pages in the session and than move user to the welcome/login page.
The session later really dies when the framework closes it.

Is this “welcome/login page” also part of the same webapp you are moving the user from, or is it a separate webapp? I assume it is a separate app, otherwise it would defeat the purpose - right?
Ideally it should be a simple HTML page, so no web app at all.
That is what I am thinking - I just want to confirm that is what Christian is thinking.
