Apple Profile Triage 3.5 Beta

In the main, the complaints are about ‘does not contain xxyy’ certifcate.
So naturally, I get certifcates. I have them coming out of my ears.

With Apple’s typical helpfulness, the names of these certifcates and profiles on the requesting pages are not the same as the way they appear anywhere else.

Pretty sure I have all of them:

I generated profiles over and over. In some cases, I ended up with app specific profile containing Ios certificate, mac certificate, or both, but all of them had some complaint.

I’ll download any APT update today and see if it has more insight.

So, new profiles… one distribution and one development.
These contain only the ios dev and ios distribution certs.

APT is happy:

Xojo is not:

and SEEMS to be asking for a Mac App certificate again

Package gives me this:

and afterwards has become unhappy with the profiles

Do you have Xcode running in the background when doing all this? If so, try quitting it.

FWIW,

The Apple Distribution certificate could be for iOS, but not necessarily. Apple has a generic one that covers everything. I tend not to use them because they do cause some confusion like this.

For anyone following along, Greg and I have found a few situations where things can get confusing, and APT has gained some new functionality along the way.
This afternoon, after 4 days of struggle, a combination of APT and Xcode and a lot of expertise from Greg, I can at last get an iOS build done.

Well done!
Having myself to deal with the same set of issues each year, I sympathise.

On that note v3.7 beta is out with improvements that show the state of local certificates.
