Mattias was agreeing with you and saying that the new framework uses apples and bananas, whereas the old framework stuck to apples.
And I don’t have a problem with your two line solution. I haven’t embraced the new framework myself. I was just pointing out that currently within Xojo there exists a one-line solution, which is what the OP requested. That solution just happens to use the new framework.
