Historically speaking it is in every continent around the world - power shifts century to century. In this thread, the way the discussion and sharing is going it is not that way. To me the difference may be people who critically think, access and make decisions based on facts not emotions makes all the difference.
Chris,
returning compliments is an inadequate response usually, therefore a few words more:
Thanks a lot for your reply! Your care for your workers honors you, and the fact that emotions were involved is IMHO a feature of this forum, not a bug: I wouldnt feel as much at home as I do here if the developers group was made of technocrats instead of humans (in the best meaning of the word).
A hearty thank you again for your kind invitation. I am not flight-tested, therefore the current chances arent the best, but if I should ever change in this life aspect too I will remember it.
And for the general discussion: ho mo* homini lupus, they say. But sociological studies have proven man is not so by nature. Besides a very small number where genetic defects may make it impossible to see the responsibility for his own actions, a human being has to be (mal)trained or mistreated to become unsocial. Sadly, our current state of civilization, with an economy demanding eternal growth and profit maximization, is an excellent fertilizer for such tendencies. Still a lot to learn to really call ourselves civilized, I am afraid.
- remove the space between the words. The forum software thinks its a bad word.
