I get a task called HoudiniAssistant64 when I try to compile 64bit on Windows
It eats memory like nobody's business, until my VM dies.
Is there a way to minimise the footprint (assuming its not a virus.. thats an odd name...)

    HoudiniAssistant is the compiler

It came to be with 64 bit compilation, when it appeared one core was not enough. So Houdini assistant performs it's magic on several cores.

Your VM may not have enough cores.

It should, with more recent versions of Xojo, spawn one houdiini for all but one core
If you have 8 cores it should spawn 7 houdini's so there is at least one core left untouched by houdini as it can be a CPU hog
If you have 12 it should spawn 11 etc

Seems that for Jeff.. Houdini just can't escape :)
