It is not a reason to attack that way.
You’re right on this… we saw too much negative postings this evening… again, sorry… let us please stop crying over spilt milk now
A Paris Intl Airport have troubles soe last Saturday they were running a software on Windows 3.1 !
No plane for most of that Saturday
So, some people are still running old (to older, even oldest) OS all around !
The issue is presenting for users of Snow Leopard as well.
After upgrade, the IDE does not work. Not very good.
Even if I use El Capitan on my work machine, not long ago, I still had this 2007 white MacBook that ran so well PPC apps under Rosetta I would have not dreamt to upgrade to pesky Lion. And the machine would not hear of anything pass. While travelling, it was convenient to do this or that on it.
I suppose a significant number of users who cannot afford upgrading hardware every two years must be in the same predicament.
The problem is that even if they were to start notifying the IDE what OS is required to use the update, existing releases would not be able to take advantage of this information and make the notification.
However, it is a very good idea and if it were my decision, I would implement it as soon as possible for future versions.
