Xojo 2024r4 Faster Under macOS Sequoia 15.2?

Maybe just me or maybe just a lark, but I’ve noticed that Xojo 2024r4 appears to be slightly faster for me under macOS Sequoia 15.2 versus Sonoma 14.7.1. It’s not a night and day difference but I’m seeing everything from loading a project, moving through the IDE to even compiling being maybe 10-15%+ faster on my MacBook Pro M1 Pro.

Have others noticed something similar?

Of course, curious to see if others have seen this, but mostly posting just in case it helps others get better Xojo performance if this is indeed true beyond a data point of one.

P.S. For those who might ask why I’m attributing this to macOS and not Xojo? It’s because I had about 8-12 hours running 2024r4 before I upgraded from Sonoma to Sequoia. After the upgrade I could immediately tell that Xojo felt a bit more snappy.

Not seeing that here on both my MBP Pro M1 and M4. Seems about the same as previous versions.

Not sure, it would be hard to say. It could be that the new thread locking mechanism has had a benefit to the IDE. It made a big difference to preemptive threads. I’m sure the IDE isn’t using those yet, but if the change was deep enough it may change operative threads that I’m sure Xojo must be using in places.

Well maybe a one off then and just a matter of a new OS upgrade with caches cleared and other related cleanup/refresh during the installation process.
