Windows System Image Recommendations?

After removing a bunch of preinstalled bloatware and spyware, I’d like to make a complete system image of my cleaned up Windows 11 system for emergency restore purposes.

From what I’ve been reading, the built in tools don’t really make a system image for recovery, but rather backup settings akin to Migration Assistant. I’d like to make a full system image that I could restore from down the road, because reinstalling the OS will reinstall the bloatware and spyware.

Do any of our Windows friends have recommendations for tools to do this? Commercial / shareware is okay, but price needs to be home-user friendly.

Thanks in advance!

Hey @Tim_Parnell

It states Win 10 but same goes for Win 11

I believe this should do as you need, I have used such backup before to load Windows on new hard drive after one failed.

Just make sure you have a bootable Win 11 USB so to be able to use the recover tools.

HTH

I also have used AOMEI to clone Windows systems

Works great

I use Shadow Protect commercially. You can get a 30 day trial from https://www.arcserve.com/downloads/trials/spx-windows.

That’s exactly what I was looking for. I had been searching for how to do backups, but when I further researched the suggestions, they were settings-only backups.
