# WebView2ControlMBS issue

I have an app I use daily that worked great until yesterday. Now this piece of code doesn’t work.

WebView2ControlMBSResult.SelectAll  
WebView2ControlMBSResult.Copy

SelectAll works as expected, but Copy no longer copies to the clipboard. I can click copy on the selected text in WebView and copy it that way. My clipboard works fine for everything else.

When I use WebView2ControlMBSResult.Copy the clipboard has whatever was already in the clipboard.

Does anyone else use WebView2ControlMBS.Copy ? I’m wondering if some Windows update broke it.

A quick test here shows it working.

Does it work, if you do a timer and do the copy a few milliseconds after SelectAll in case some asynchron thing needs to finish?

For me it works without a pause between.

And I wonder if there is something going on in JavaScript or permissions, that blocks it in the WebView2 control.

Another thing would be that the clipboard would be locked. On Windows an app opens the clipboard, reads or writes something and closes it. If the clipboard is open somewhere, the WebView2 control may not be able to open it.
