WebTextField keydown or similar?

Hi all, is there a way to check for a keydown event or something similar. What I have is a series of WebTextField’s, each only able to take one character, so I’d like the user interface to jump from one control to the next after a single character has been entered. Possible? mtia.

No. KeyDown requires way too much communication between the browser and the server, slowing your app way down. The best approach is to off-load the actual keydown response to the browser via JavaScript. That way, you can control the level of traffic to the server.

Thanks Tim. I’m no javascript expert. I suppose I could trawl the pages etc, but do you have something you can offer up? Regards, Dave.

There is a method to do this with GraffitiSuite if that’s an option:
GraffitiEventManager
