WebPage.Resized and WebPage.Show Reporting Incorrect Size

Hello,

I have this very random issue where the Resize and Shown events sometimes report the wrong size or the default size of the webpage. Also, sometimes the Resized method is not even triggered.

I have a login page that has a few controls on it that need to be centered, I start with the controls offscreen and then center them in the resized method. If the resized method doesn’t get triggered, the controls never get displayed and the user is left with a blank screen.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Is there a better way to center controls onscreen?

Thanks in advanced,
Alex

I think was a known issue, what version of Xojo are you using?

For what it’s worth, there’s a drop in login screen as part of WebStudio.ws

Thanks, Im using 2016R4.

There is another <https://xojo.com/issue/45701>.
The problem seems introduced in 2016r2.1

That also lines up with my findings.

I am having similar problems… has fix been released for this issue?

I am still having issues although I think the bug report has been marked as fixed. Mainly the width and height of a page on startup randomly returns the default size rather then the actual size.

This still exists up to 2017r1.1 but already fixed in the betas of the upcoming release.

I have been patiently waiting for this 2017r2. I need many of the fixes/features. Any rough ideas of when it will be out of beta?

A plugin is already available to fix that trouble, by Anthony (the maker of Graffitisuite)

Couldn’t find it… Do you remember the name?

You can get these properties in JavaScript. That is what Anthony does for his controls.

Thanks Michel, Will do.
