Hi, Guys!

Anybody had tried to create a paginated weblistbox?
My data becomes huge; my client data retrieval gets affected.

Please help.

It is not in itself difficult to do, but the main problem will be to catch the mouse wheel with all browsers in order to scroll the paginated content.

There are two JavaScript events : onmousewheel works with most browsers, but not with FireFox. onwheel works with most, but not with Safari.

Alternatively, one can use a vertical slider that will scroll content.

Also, the side effect of paginating will be that the WebListBox will scroll the same way as the Desktop ListBox, by substitution of content, rather than smooth scrolling. The advantage becomes that locating cells relative to XY become an easy task.

is it hard to accomplish?

I hope somebody share some code on how to do it.

As part of our subscriber series of Xojo Training Videos at http://xojo.bkeeney.com/XojoTraining/ we have Data Paging control examples for both web and desktop. 65+ hours of video with over 200 individual videos, most with source code you can use in your own projects.

Hi Bob,

Actually I saw it, but when try to run sample, it pop an error.

Is it still functional?

The example works for me at http://xojo.bkeeney.com/BKSWebExample/bkswebexample.cgi/#datapaging

it’s working now. just wondered why it is not working before.

Anyway, I’m very much interested in learning this. I will be subscribing to it to learn more.
Thanks bob!

It got lost in a recent server migration.
