The Virtual Xojo User Group’s next meeting will be held on Thursday, September 28th, at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (US and Canada). The meeting will focus on Aloe, which can be used to create Xojo-based Web sites, apps, APIs and more.
I demonstrated an early version of Aloe in June, and it has come a long way since then. I’m happy to announce that Aloe is finally ready for release. I’ll be releasing Aloe under an open source license on September 28th, just after the meeting.
During the meeting, I’ll demonstrate the latest version of Aloe, and show a few simple Aloe-based apps. In addition, Hal Gumbert will demonstrate “Xanadu for Xojo + Aloe,” a new version of his Xanadu solution that has been completely refactored using Aloe.
Just a reminder that the next VXUG meeting is being held this afternoon at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. We’ve got around 50 people signed up, and room for 50 more. If you haven’t already registered and are interested in joining us, you can register here: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/cec78c008356b9b434538d7d4481ef37
Today’s meeting will be heavily focused on Aloe, which was just released this morning. You can learn more about Aloe and download it via the new Web site: https://aloe.zone
I am the guy that says all scheduling/times should be in GMT that way we are always clear on when. But people (in general) are lazy and want the times in their local timezone.
