US Tennis Open 2015 / 2017

Anyone following the US 2015 Tennis Open?

I’m very proud to see a South African in the quarter finals this year, Kevin Anderson (first grand slam QF of his career).

He is playing against one of my favorite players, Stan Wawrinka, later today.

Looking forward to some entertaining tennis.

I’m watching it. Very happy to see Roger playing so well!

Looks like he certainly is back in form.

I haven’t watched any of his games yet in this US Open, but I’ll make sure to watch his next game against Gasquet.

I’m catching it when I can. It’s disappointing that much of the tennis coverage has moved off of broadcast television. It seems like just a couple of years ago I could catch two weekends of every major. Now I feel lucky to get to see the finals. I refuse to buy an expensive cable package just to see a few things here and there that I can’t watch on regular TV, so I’ll just have to live with it I guess.

I watched Anderson defeat Murray. That was a great match. Murray destroyed at least two rackets!

Yip, the tension at that level of competition can be high sometimes.

now tennis is insipide, just strong hitters :)[/quote]

I remember Lendl vs Becker. What a match! Navratilova vs Graf… Good memories!

By the way, Nadal… he seems a nice guy, but he needs to find a proper trainer and forget this uncle. I’m sad about his performance.

I obviously have to “level-up” my comment from 2015.

I’m very proud to see a South African in the finals of the US Open this year (2017). Kevin Anderson is the first South African since 1984 to reach a grand slam final in tennis

His upcoming game against Nadal is going to be a great match regardless of outcome.

Yeah, I’m looking forward to that match. It was hard to see Roger get beat the other night.
