This morning, I’ve started seeing this in the address bar when I start my application in the IDE:
http://%22http//127.0.0.1:8880/%22

This happens in Edge and Chrome but not Firefox. I have to manually type the address in to get the application going which is very annoying!

Is anyone else experiencing this? Presumably I’ve had an update to the browser which has set this off.

(I’m using 2019r3)

Seem MS changed a system behavior, and some registry values needs updates to fix the problem.

> Both BYOND and Brain had written workarounds for the problem. Byond said there were shell execution registry entries that needed adjustments or the surrounding quotes would be sent as part of the URL. Maybe starting fresh as you did removed such keys and they were set to the proper values the current behavior MS expects? Seems they needed to remove “–single-argument” from some key(s) affecting Computer\HKEY\_CLASSES\_ROOT shell entries for Chrome? Someone affected could research a bit about it an…

This is already being discussed on another thread:

TheBrain created a fix for their application. So it is not necessarily just an OS/browser issue, perhaps a coding workaround can be done also as @Rick_Araujo is suggesting.
