Tim Parnell Announces the Newest Version of ARGen (October 2020)

Rochester, NY – Tim Parnell is excited to announce Web 2.0 project generation for ARGen! This latest version also includes class template customization, allowing developers to tweak their project in brand new ways. Additionally, the core ActiveRecord library received some important fixes.

ARGen generates Xojo code classes and user interface elements to interact with databases with Xojo code rather than SQL. Save time and write less code by taking advantage of the ActiveRecord library which abstracts database interaction. ARGen creates the classes necessary to use ActiveRecord from an existing database schema.

Web 2.0 User Interface Generation is finally here! The core ActiveRecord library has been updated to support minor changes to the Web 2.0 framework. ARGen leverages the new WebDataSource Listbox data methods, providing infinite data-on-demand scrolling. Developers will need at least Xojo 2020 Release 1.1 to open Web 2.0 projects.

Introducing Class Template Customization! Joining this release is the ability to customize the table class template prior to generation. Developers can add Constants, Event Definitions, Methods, and Properties to the base class template. Check out this powerful new feature among several other optimizations and fixes in the latest ARGen today.
