Swift Oriented Forum

In order not to hijack XOJO forum and bandwidth, for those developers interested in talking about or seeking help with Apple Swift in an attempt to broaden their horizons and learn more about the industry we all work and play in… I have created my own forum.

The intent is by no means to draw activity away from XOJO, the language or the forum, but to supply a location where XOJO developers that have other interests can go. I will be participating here just as seriously as I have for the past 9 years… But StackOverflow is not (to me) a viable place for polite conversation, and the Apple Dev forums are just as bad…

I hope a number of you join (please use the same name there as here, so we know who is who)…

Note :  It is “my” forum… so please be polite, or you will be gone… Thanks!

Dana… feel free to lock this… but I hope you don’t delete it.

oh no, another forum :frowning:

Sorry, but I think the better place to discuss this is Apple’s forum where all the engineers from Apple help.

The more resources the merrier  And frankly I understand Dave for creating a place where he will not be unwelcome.

In case that is of interest, here is the Swift Apple developer forum :
https://devforums.apple.com/community/tools/languages/swift

It is a nice resource, but definitely not open to anything non-C. So there is probably a place for a less segregated space. Many members here practice both Objective C and Xojo, probably Swift as well, and there is probably a productive interaction to be found between all.

AS OF NOW I AM ABANDONING ALL WORK ON THIS TRANSLATOR.
UNTIL SUCH TIME AS I CAN FIND A SOURCE OF INFORMATION
THAT IS NOT AS ARROGANT AND SELF-CENTERED AS REDDIT AND STACKOVERFLOW

I ASK A SIMPLE QUESTION, AND WAS RIDICULED…AS MUCH FOR THE QUESTION AS
FOR “HOW STUPID I WAS”

My forum will remain active, more because it is as much trouble to take it down as to leave it

Link to //ridiculed…as/ is not a valid link.

not my fault this forum messed up  it made a link out of two words “and was ridiculed … as much”
